Councillor Joy at Victory Academy

Councillor Joy attended The Victory Academy this morning (14/08/2025) on A-Level results day, where he met with the Head Teacher Mr Olly Owen and the Deputy Head Mr Matthew Fenton. The Victory Academy achieved great results, more information can be found here- https://thevictoryacademy.org.uk/blog-articles/a-level-results-day-2025/.

Councillor Joy also got a tour of the new Sixth Form building to meet the increased demand for places and the new SEMH area that the school have put in place for the start of the next academic year which will have a really positive impact on the students at the school.

Speaking after the visit, Councillor Joy said:

"It was great to meet Mr Owen and Mr Fenton and to see smiles on students faces as they got their results, every student should be proud of their efforts and I'd like to congratulate the class of 2025 on their achievements.

It was also great to see the brand new SEMH provisions bringing much needed additional specialist SEND provision to Medway, allowing more Medway students to study nearer to home."
