Cllrs. Fearn and Joy at the new gate

Councillor Mark Joy (Strood South) and Councillor Matt Fearn (Cuxton & Halling) were pleased to see the installation of the new Kissing Gate, which both Councillors jointly funded from their Ward Funds, at Ranscombe Farm.

Through Plantlife (who are now based in Strood South Ward) a new access was installed from the car park onto Ranscombe Farm - creating a path into the reserve which is safer, easier and more pleasant than the existing entrance road. The kissing gate allows access to abled and disabled people including mobility scooters, making sure that the reserve is fully accessible to all.

Councillors Joy and Fearn would like to sincerely thank all who have played a role in bringing this fantastic project to completion.
