Medway Conservatives attend MACA VJ Day event

Medway Conservatives Leader Cllr George Perfect, Senior Shadow Cabinet Member Cllr Habib Tejan together with The Worshipful Mayor of Medway Cllr Trevor Clarke (morning) and The Deputy Mayor of Medway (afternoon) attended the Medway African and Caribbean Association: Heroes of World World II event today at The Royal Engineers Museum - Gillingham. Cllr Barrett also attended. 

The event heard from about a number of stories from the Second World War, on the weekend marking the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Japan.

Councillors also had the opportunity to catch up with Colonel Dickie B Hawkins MBE ADC FInstRE of the Royal Engineers.
