Twydall Candidates Working with Kent Police to Tackle Crime

Councillor Mark Joy, along with his fellow Candidates for Twydall ward, Natalie Jarvis and Jim Gilbourne, recently met with Police & Crime Commissioner Matthew Scott & MP Rehman Chisti to discuss issues raised by local residents in Twydall with regards to Scam Callers, Vehicle Break-ins, Shoplifting and Drug use.

Matthew informed the candidates that Kent Police has a dedicated Fraud Team who work with Medway Council Trading Standards to target and stop scam callers, as well as working with residents to help them be more vigilant with callers.

Matthew also stated that all reported crimes in Twydall, Medway & across Kent are fully investigated, looking at patterns to help target criminals and remove them from our streets.

Mark, Natalie and Jim are looking forward to the further impact in tackling crime when the current additional 200 officers have finished training and also to the recruitment of a further 180 officers this year, which will help to make Twydall, Medway and the whole of Kent safer for residents and business.
