John has lived in the ward for over 30 years and is married with 3 grown up children. He works as a sales manager. He is a member of the Regeneration, Culture, and Environment Overview and Scrutiny Committee of the Council, helping make Medway a safe and pleasant place to live. He will continue to oppose over development in the ward.

Sun Shines on Excellent English Festival!

English Festival

An amazing day was had by all who attended this Saturday's English Festival, held at Riverside Country Park. The turnout was huge (perhaps the best ever!) and the activities, stalls and entertainment were made all the better by the spring sunshine.

Conservative Councillors Honour First World War Centenary

Conservative Councillors from across Medway were extremely proud and privileged to be able to represent residents at multiple Remembrance Day events held throughout Medway.

Conservative Councillors Join Eid Celebrations

Councillors Martin Potter and David Carr, of Rainham North, and Councillors Gary Etheridge and John Williams of Strood Rural, were delighted to attend the Eid community day celebrations with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Gillingham.

Rochester and Strood Conservtives Fighting Litter

Conservative Councillors and team members (of all ages!) are taking part in both organised and impromptu community clear-ups/ litter-picks in their wards across Rochester and Strood. 

Medway Blossoms Winners Presented with Prizes

This year's fiercely fought Medway Blossoms gardening competition saw Ann and Derek Holden from Wainscott triumph, as their colourful garden resulted in the couple being declared the proud winners of this year’s competition.
