Councillor Matt Fearn has been a committed representative of Cuxton, Halling & Riverside since May 2023. Prior to this, he served as a councillor for Cuxton and Halling from 2015 to 2023 and Rainham Central from 2003 to 2007.
Born and raised in Halling, Matt is deeply invested in his local community. As a ward resident, he is fully committed to representing Cuxton and Halling on Medway Council and both Cuxton and Halling Parish Councils.
Matt has played an active role in Medway’s governance, serving on several key committees, including the Licensing and Safety Committee, where he is the Opposition Spokesperson. His extensive committee experience also includes positions on the Employment Matters Committee, Joint Meeting of Committees, and Licensing Sub-Committee.
Beyond his council duties, Matt is passionate about ensuring that local development benefits residents. With significant changes happening in the community, he works hard to protect frontline services and advocate for improvements that support Cuxton and Halling’s growing population.
With a strong track record in local government, Councillor Fearn continues to work towards enhancing Medway’s licensing policies, supporting local communities, and ensuring effective representation for his constituents.
