Contact: rodney.chambers@medway.gov.uk or 01634 842913

Having been Leader of the Council for 15 years, Rodney Chambers continues to serve on the Council’s Cabinet, with a responsibility for Strategic Regeneration, Inward Investment and Partnerships. He has considerable experience in local government, having been first elected to the Kent County Council in 1973. Since that time, he has served on Gillingham Borough Council, and for the last 20 years has represented Hempstead & Wigmore within Medway Unitary Authority.

Whilst Rodney has assumed a new role on the Council, he is still conscious of his position as one of your local councillors, and has assisted many residents in issues that have been important to them – in such matters as planning applications, highways safety and education, just to name a few.
