Councillor Roger Barrett has been a committed representative of Rainham South East since May 2023. Prior to this, he served as a councillor for Rainham South from 2019 to 2023.
Roger has played an active role in Medway’s governance, serving on several key committees, including the Children and Young People Overview and Scrutiny Committee, Planning Committee, and School Transport and Curriculum Appeals Committee. His dedication to education and youth services has been a defining aspect of his work, ensuring that Medway’s children receive the best possible support and opportunities.
In addition to his council duties, Roger served as Deputy Mayor of Medway from May 2022 to May 2023, demonstrating his commitment to civic leadership and community engagement.
With a strong track record in local government, Councillor Barrett continues to work towards enhancing Medway’s education system, supporting families, and advocating for the needs of children and young people.
