The MP for Gillingham and Rainham, Rehman Chishti, Cllrs’ Anang, Barret and former Cllr Potter on the 27th of April 2024 were pleased to represent the Medway conservative group at the “Kent Worships 2024”, which took place at the MidKent College, Medway.
The event was organised by the Land of Grace - Kent and Churches in the Medway communities. The event brought over five hundred people from diverse background to praise and worship. Diana Antwi Hamilton a renowned Ghanaian gospel musician who live in Chatham and among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards was the guest artist for the night.
The MP in his speech reiterated how the former conservative led council worked tireless to ensure that schools in Medway achieved good Ofsted rating, and the fact that in Medway there are opportunities for the youth to achieve their dreams. The MP also spoke about mental health and the need for a new hospital in Medway. Diana was full of praise for the MP for taking time off his tight schedule to join her in worship and to stay till the end of the event in her words “this is amazing, thank you for coming.
